Each time I start Win11 and I open a new window in Explorer View, the Dropbox folder is completely expanded in the Navigation Pane. As I have a lot of subfolders, it takes all the vertical space, and this is very inconvenient. Is there a way to default the Dropbox folder to be collapsed (as all the others normally are), and only expanding it when needed by clicking on the > sign at the left of it?Solved322Views0likes6CommentsHow can I add the Size column on the Dropbox site?
Hi everyone, When I view files and fodlers on Dropbox Web, I couldn't add a column file size (or find in Dropbox setting) so that i can quickly know the size of those files. I wonder is there any way we can do that? Example: https://imgur.com/OjDmB4q https://imgur.com/rlsqNLB Thank you, NathanSolved34Views0likes3CommentsFile manager view on the Dropbox site
I would much prefer to have the files and folders presented in a file manager tree view rather than having half of the screen taken up with preview thumbnails of recent files. The current layout is frustrating to work with, especially when working collaboratively as it encourages poor file management practices. I want my Dropbox interface to be clear and functional, not fun.92Views0likes2CommentsFile on computer have a strange icon next to them, and can't be accessed
Any files not used for a couple of days are no longer accessible and have a strange graphic next to the icon. I'd be grateful for a solution to this problem. I can't upload the screenshots here! Don't know why.210Views0likes5CommentsA certain icon overlay doesn't work in Windows
I have been working to resolve issues regarding icon overlays. After reading a lot of posts on this forum, I figured out how to edit my registry and move Dropbox overlays to the top of the list, giving them priority. This worked - with one odd exception. The icon for mixed state files won't display no matter what I do. According to this link, that should be DropboxExt09. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Shell_Icon_Overlay_Identifiers) I realize this is a minor issue. But having spent a lot of time on the general issue, I am hoping someone can help me fix this one quirk. When I attempt to view the Photos tab in either theDropbox app, or on Dropbox web, it loads indefinitely. The loading bar cycles through its usual loading messages until it says “Almost there …” then loads no matter how long I wait. It is possible the issue may be due to the fact I recently removed a training data folder containing a very high number of images (~500,000) and now it's in a re-indexing loop, or something like that. It's been a week since that event. How can I fix this, so I can view all of my photos in one place again?141Views0likes1CommentExternal collaborators list got removed from admin console 'members' tab
Dropbox recently removedExternal Collaborators tab from Admin Console > Members menu. This was a fast and easy dashboard to see all external collaborators and each shared resource they have access to.Reached out to support and now only option to review external collaborators seems to be through the clunky Admin Console > Security > External Sharing menu. The oldExternal Collaborators tab in the Members menu provided much better security auditing for team admins. Please bring the original External Collaborators dashboard back to the Members menu.737Views0likes3CommentsIt's confusing when removing and managing devices on the iOS app
I was trying to update my account and clean up old devices today, and the icons on the screen to manage devices on the iOS app are confusing. They look like they should be to drag things up and down, but in reality there’s a drawer to drag left or you can tap to unlink the device. It doesn’t really make any sense and is unintuitive.142Views0likes1Comment
