I am using the Quickbase Dropbox channel to create a folder and upload files to that folder. I then get the Share URL using the Quickbase Dropbox channel and save it in a Quickbase table. I can see the folder and its files when I log into my Dropbox account. But when I use the Share URL in my browser, I get a screen showing the folder name but that it is empty. I need to see the files also.12Views0likes0CommentsFile previews not visible in preview pane
File previews have stopped working for me in the preview pane (using Windows 10). This issue only persists with files in my Dropbox folder, and it affects all kinds of different file types, including JPGs, PNGs, MP4s, Cinema 4D files, etc. If I uninstall Dropbox, the file previews work correctly again. Then once I reinstall Dropbox, the issue returns. I am not using "online only" mode - all files are stored locally on my hard drive. I don't understand why this is happening, and it's quite annoying. Does anyone have any solution for this?13Views0likes0CommentsOnline-only not working in Surface Pro 11 (Snapdragon version)
Recently I went back to Dropbox having read that it now works with Snapdragon Windows versions, but currently I have a significant issue. I cannot have any online-only file in my SP11, thus I cannot have all Dropbox files in my device. I have this in the main DP screen: Then I go to "Manage hard disk space", select folders and make online-only. In less than a second I get the message they are online-only, but they aren't. Any idea how to solve this? Thanks in advance.488Views2likes20CommentsCorrect the 'sharelink' description in the Linux commands documentation
The table at https://help.dropbox.com/installs/linux-commands#What-Linux-commands-are-available-on-Dropbox says, about the sharelink command: sharelink dropbox sharelink FILE This prints out a shared link for FILE. FILE Absolute path to FILE ...But that's not correct. FILE doesn't have to be an absolute path, it can be any path (relative or absolute) that points to a file in the Dropbox folder. For example: dropbox sharelink $HOME/Dropbox/MyDocument.odt Outputs a share link like https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/$IDENTIFIER1/MyDocument.odt?rlkey=$IDENTIFIER2&dl=0 cd $HOME/Dropbox dropbox sharelink MyDocument.odt Outputs the same share link cd $HOME dropbox sharelink Dropbox/MyDocument.odt Still the same share link as the previous two commands (Also, side note, what's the point of providing a post editor with the ability to insert tables and code snippets, if this is going to happen when we hit "Publish"?) Several pdf files stored in my DropBox account are listed as having 0kb files sizes when viewing them on desktop. I am unable to open them in a browser or Acrobat. Via dropbox.com, these same files are fine - downloadable and viewable, etc. There is no issue with file size constraints - all files are well within this account's storage capacity. I have removed and re-installed the desktop app with no change to the above. This is on OSX Sequoia. Any insight into why this is occuring would be helpful. It's a basic account, so Dropbox punts on technical support.Solved39Views0likes4CommentsI can't see my files when I log in to the Dropbox website
I can log in to dropbox.com. I pay monthly. I cannot see a single file or folder on dropbox.com. I need to see them because I have some folders that are online only and do live on my harddrive. has anyone found a fix? The chat is a joke and doesn't help and apparently I'm not paying enough for an email or phone call support (outrageous). I hope you users of dropbox can help. thanks so much.Solved38Views0likes5CommentsI can't open my Dropbox files.

I will be traveling abroad on vacation. I will have to switch out my sim card in order to get data at my destination abroad. If I switch out the sim card, will I still be able to access my dropbox while abroad? I have an iPhone XR if it matters.12Views0likes1CommentEnable create and rename folders/files on MacOS Dropbox application for admin users
After a recent dropbox update, at the top level, admin users are unable to create and rename files on their desktop dropbox application for Mac users (OS version: Sequoia 15.3.2). This slight change has made it more of a hassle to use the desktop app, it makes it appear obsolete to be honest. My team needs a number of folders to created frequently as we get new cases quite frequently. After the new update, as the admin user, I have to navigate to my web browser in order to create a folder and then come back to my desktop app to add all the relevant documents into that folder. If I make a mistake in the name of the folder, I can't change the name of the folder I have to go back to web browser, find the folder and then change it from there. It is such that even as an admin user on my computer, when I go to unlock the folder at the top level to give me read and write access, it automatically switches back as it is something that has been enabled from the software and not the user end. I could see the justification for having this restriction for non-admin users but for admin users whose job description requires the creation and modification of top level files, it has added an additional step in work flow that is cumbersome. In the past, all these could be done directly from the desktop app. I would like to request that the feature be put back as it was. The new change is not user friendly at all.35Views1like1CommentHow can I see the full path of files found in search?
When you search for a file show the full path of that file so we can understand where it is located. Right now, after finding the file and clicking on it, it shows only the folder it is in and one additional level up. There is no button or option that says "Show Full Path," so there seems to be no way to see the full file path to understand the location. Stop hiding the full path, show it by default, or at least put an option there to show the full path. There is a secret way to do it, but you have to know where to click. It is not obvious and easy.757Views1like2Comments
