Hi Dropbox, I’ve sent an invite to a friend for a referral. my friend subsequently installed dropbox on a desktop, logged in, and hit the button in the email she received requesting email confirmation. She is actively using Dropbox now, but in my referral status page it shows only “invitation sent”. glad if you can help resolve. thx! a.13Views0likes6CommentsFiles disappeared after selective sync
I was trying to free up space and tried to use selective sync. As I understood it, the files I chose not to sync would be download to my computer. Unfortunately, what seems to have happened is that all my files from two programs (Reaper and Scrivener) have disappeared. The only thing I can find in my computer or on Dropbox are files with a "Recovered" tag that are un-openable. Removing the checkmark in Slective Sync has resulted in the Recovered file folders moving to dropbox, but they remain inaccessible. Is there a way to go restore my dropbox to what it looked like before I did the selective sync? I understand this feature isn't available with the Basic version, but could I recover my files if I upgraded?7Views0likes2CommentsA bunch of my files went to Zero Bytes on Mac
This issue was posted here like five years ago by a different user and the fix worked for them but I've encountered the issue now and the fix isn't working. Basically, I've got a new Mac, synced all my files from my old Mac but they're mostly showing up as Zero Bytes and they're not openable. I tried going to my preferences->Account->holding down the alt/option key and clicking "Fix Permissions". It prompts me for my computer password, I enter it, it seems to work but doesn't. So I do it again, then I receive the error message in Dropbox: "Dropbox was unable to fix permissions in your Dropbox. Please contact support if the problem persists." I'm on the basic plan, so I don't have access to proper support (bad show, guys) so I'm hoping someone can help.31Views0likes5CommentsCan't find uploaded photos
Good day, All - Between approximately 2015 and 2017, I uploaded about 75-100 photos from my Apple Photos folder on my MacBook Pro. I can't remember if I upIoaded them via the dropbox app or the website by browser. I signed into Dropbox today and I cannot find those photos. I know I did not delete them. How can I access these? TIA for any help you can give.7Views0likes1CommentOpening the Dropbox folder enables Num Lock.
Hi, I have a weird little problem. Every time I open the Dropbox folder (double click on the icon on the task bar), there's a Windows notification popping up that Num Lock has been enabled. This only started happening after I upgraded my Windows 10 to 11. Any ideas how to fix this?211Views2likes19CommentsI'm unable to cancel my Basic trial via my Google Play account.
I am attempting to cancel the Basic Subscription BEFORE the trial period ends and none of your instructions are working. I installed the app on my Android phone; there is no Step #4 ("How to Cancel") and Google Play doesn't even recognize the app! So much trouble, so little time. What to do next?16Views0likes1CommentFiles not updating as I'm out of space
Hi I have a basic Dropbox and it keeps saying I have run out of space. It has been updating 506 files for weeks. I cannot access any of these files. Aside from paying for more space is there anyway I can gain access to my files? SarahSolved58Views0likes16CommentsI've paid twice to update my Dropbox account, but it's still the same and asks me to upgrade.
Has this happened to anyone? Since my account is set as an basic account i cant reach anyone to tell them about this problem. I have scrennshots of messages confirming my updates, aswell as scrennshots from my bank showing the transfer of money. Is there any way for me to reach them via email og chat? Love, In3dee22Views0likes3CommentsDropbox doesn't sync the changes between devices. What can I do?
We have the free version of dropbox at work. 3x computers make use of it. It's all excel files we have in the shared folders. At some point last year we discovered the files stopped syncing. Storage was full- deleted old files that were no longer necessary, then dropbox worked again. There is about 1GB of free space left. Again, dropbox has stopped syncing out of the blue. We have a solid internet connection. I noticed some troubleshootings mentioned it could be the antivirus- we have AVG free version, but we have had it since a long time ago and dropbox has always worked up until recently. On all 3x computers, the files show the green tick. But, let's say I make a change on X file, that change would not reflect on either of the other computers. Same if someone on the other computers made a change to X file, it wouldn't reflect on either other side either. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? I am pulling out my hair trying to get it to sync. We don't have an IT department and I'm the only one in the office who generally has a good knowledge about computers, but this issue I fail to understand. Any assistance and advice will be gladly appreciated.23Views0likes1Comment
