I have tried to download a large file shared with me from a client a number of times and every time it is about to finish the folder gets corrupted and I get a suspension from Dropbox? Why is this happening? Hello, My dropbox account was compromised and they fully locked me out with 2fa. I did not set up the 2fa so I can't kick them out. I just want to close the account. I don't need access. I have a paid Essentials Dropbox account through July 2025 under an AOL email. Even though I added "no-reply" to my contacts, I have not been able to receive a password reset link in my AOL account. There does not seem to be any way to contact Dropbox by email or phone, and I can't access my files. I don't remember the last time I accessed Dropbox or shared a file, so I can't reset my password that way. Any help would be appreciated. So I have an old email that has expired. I didn't even know that my associated Dropbox account was still active, but it apparently is because I have a charge on my credit card for the $119 renewal fee. That's a lot of money for something I can't even use, much less want at this time! Pulling out my hair because I have no way to sign in and no way to get a refund. It is ridiculous that there is no way to talk to an actual person to resolve these issues! Hi everyone, I'm posting this from a new Dropbox account because I'm completely locked out of my original one, and support hasnât been helpful. Iâve been going back and forth with Dropbox support (Ticket #24909124) and keep getting the same scripted responses, even after clearly explaining that I donât have access to: My old phone or number Any backup codes Any linked device I get that security is important, but there should be some way to recover an accountâID verification, billing info, anything. Right now it feels like Iâm being shut out permanently with no real path forward. Has anyone dealt with this before or successfully escalated a similar issue?
