Does anyone else have an issue with the offensive upgrade badge on the homepage? The Plus plan gives me everything I need, and I do not need to upgrade. There should be an option to dismiss this or decline the upgrade offer!38Views0likes2CommentsProblems with applying for an open position
I saw the discussion at discussions/101001018/im-having-trouble-applying-for-a-position---can-i-contact-hr/695520 but this issue seems to be different & that discussion has been closed for replies. If I fill out the application form online, attach my resume and cover letter (.docx) and include my last 3 related jobs... I get this error..... So I played with it a little and found that the application would go through if I only included my last related job experience under Employment. I did not try it with 2 last employers as I did not want multiple applications sent to HR for the position (I didn't want to look like an idiot before I ever got interviewed). I also found a missing link after submitting the application. After the application is accepted you are shown the following screen... The "Read our stories" link is broken. If you click it, you just go to a 404 page at Medium. Also there is no tag at the bottom of this form that seems to match anything to do with the application process, the Dropbox website or HR.... I chose "WEB" and "ERROR MESSAGES" because they were the closest descriptions for these issues, but adding a tag for website issues or application process might be helpful. Then, when I tried to submit this discussion, I got another error.... In case it matters, I am using Chrome... ...with Dropbox excluded from the Ublock Origin Lite extension, on Windows 10 Pro. So now I am off to try and find an email for someone in the company (or perhaps reach out on LinkedIn) to try and get these issues to them. I found your corporate phone number but the message there says that the mailbox is not monitored and just sends me to dropbox.com/support where there is no place to post this or get any help related to your website. At this point I feel like I'm just chasing my tail. I will delete the link that this discussion added when I referred to an earlier discussion that discussed issues with the application process .... Thanks!81Views0likes6CommentsAdd a "close" button for receipts and have the website automatically time out after some time.
When I view a Payment Receipt by doing this: Click the "Account" button at the upper-right of the home page Select "Manage account" from the pop-up menu Select "Billing" from the Tabs on the left of the page Click the "..." icon in the "More" column in the Billing History List on the page Select "Receipt" from the pop-up menu The receipt opens up in a new browsers page/tab. There is no navigation on this page. The only element on the page that I can interact with is the "Print receipt" button. (Thankfully, this button does not appear on the printed receipt!) I would like to suggest a "Close" button on this page. You must use one of the browser's controls to close it. Also, it appears to me that this page never times out??? I think this is a security issue.45Views1like2CommentsFeedback on upgrade prompts within Dropbox
Hi Dropbox stop making me clicking to close ads when I am accessing my Dropbox. I don't want to upgrade and your behaviour makes me want to quit your service. You are annoying and a marketing like this doesn't work. Stop right now. Regards24Views2likes1CommentI'm unable to use my free Dropbox account, because of "30 day free trial has ended" pop-up.
Please help me get rid of this annoying pop-up that has no exit button. I have a free basic plan of 2GB and I have only used 38.8MB of storage. Now, I cannot navigate my account because this pop-up saying my "30 day free trial has ended" keeps blocking the whole screen. Pl I only want the basic free plan but it does not allow me to continue with my basic free account. Please help. I've tried clearing my browsing data, using 3 different browsers, and using an incognito window.1.2KViews0likes10CommentsCan I remove the payment option from my Basic account without upgrading to a paid member?
I want to remove the payment option from my account. However, I cannot do this myself from the account page -- Dropbox itself points me to their customer service. I have Dropbox Basic, which only gives me access to the help center, the community, and a useless chatbot. The only community post I've found on this topic says that I have to talk to someone on the support staff, but this seems out of reach for a lowly Basic user like me. The chatbot just says that I can manage my billing options etc from the account page and that I should upgrade to get more support. Is there a way to remove the payment option from my Basic account without upgrading to a paid membership to be allowed to send the support staff an email? This experience has been an absolute nightmare even though it has just consumed 30 minutes of my life. I have seen more disgusting anti-patterns on this website than I count. So embarrassing...143Views0likes1CommentCollaborators are made to believe they need to pay for a plan when creating their Dropbox account.
Hi - I recently asked a number of friends to provide feedback on some articles I'm writing, using Dropbox Paper. Unfortunately, the majority of them refused to help. The signup flow makes them think they have to enter a trial using a credit card number, in order to collaborate with me. This flow here shows a typical experience310Views0likes4CommentsDeaf Access (American Sign Language Interpreter Request.) on Dropbox webinars.
Dear Sir or Madam: My wife and I are both subscribers to the Webinars on Drop Box. Closed Captioning is provided, but unfortunately it is challenging still for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individual due to the inability to read, or fully comprehend the complexity of English language and the content provided because these factors, it would be so beneficial to a Deaf/ Hard of Hearing individual to have an American Sign Language Interpreter in real time, so the Deaf/Hard of hearing individual is able to have the same experience as hearing individuals. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws require businesses, governments, and nonprofit organizations to provide access to people who are Deaf, Deaf blind, or hard of hearing. This access use meet the person’s needs and communication style. Also, American Sign Language (ASL) is its own language that is used by the Deaf community. ASL is a language and uses its own right, separate to English, and uses its own grammar structure. If Zoom or a webinar is the platform that is being used, it has the capability where an interpreter can join. There are many video relay and VRI provider that Deaf individuals use for the sole purpose of being connected and being informed like hearing people. Zoom has an interpreter with VRS (Video Relay Service) through the Sorenson for Zoom app. This app allows meeting hosts to add an ASL interpreter to a call on demand without scheduling in advance. The interpreter can join the meeting as a full participant on the same screen as everyone else. Deaf participants can see both the meeting and the interpreter in the same window, and everyone can view shared content and screens while still seeing each other. I am writing this letter to your company with the hope that you get a better understanding of the challenges that Deaf individuals face when it comes to access. I like to thank you in advance for your assistance in this matter. I am looking forward to hearing from someone at Drop box with a solution to this dilemma. I can be reached through my video relay phone at [...] or email me at [removed per Community Guidelines] Thank you for your cooperation.187Views0likes1Comment
