Recently uploaded two MP4 videos in dropbox. When I click on them they start to play for about a 10th of a second and then quit and go back to list of videos.I have no idea why won't play. I don't have a smartphone, I just want to watch them in real-time on Dropbox.

Do you happen to be running any antivirus or ad-blockers @R- ?

If so, could you temporarily disable them and let us know if it improves matters for you?

No ad-blockers, disabled Windows Security for a bit and had the same result. ☹️

The person I'm working with has been having the same issue, leading him to not be able to leave any comments on these files.

So I feel like it's something on Dropbox's end. Especially considering these files had no issues being previewed a little over a week ago.

Hi all, thanks for your reports on this.

We just checked back on this internally and it should be fixed now.

If you're still facing issues with this though, you could try clearing your browser's cache and cookies and try again.

Keep us posted anyhow!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

I'm always curious about why companies, such as yours in this case, initially assume it's the end-user. I see this dynamic play over and over again. Have the end-user jump through hoops, tangle themselves up in knots, make all kinds of changes and adaptations, etc.,  etc., etc. only to find OUT, in the end, it's not "them," it's "us!" Causing End-users no amount of upset, their feeling incompetent, stupid, confused, etc. where is the one bright light at dropbox who steps up, at the very outset, and says "hey, let's take a look at this from the inside? Maybe it's us, let's explore…"
