I have also had this error message for the first time. On desktop but not on iPad. Advice on how to resolve the issue please!

I am having the same problem, and it is happening on my work computer, home computer (Mac) and my iPhone. Others are downloading the files with no problems. If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Does anyone have a solution for this from Dropbox? All my FLAC and MP4 (ALAC) files were playing from the links fine until yesterday or so. Now none of them will play without this error appearing.

It's the first time I've seen this problem but nothing changed with my files. Is there a solution?

My MP3 files seem to play ok but I'm mostly not interested in sharing those with anyone. I need FLAC and MP4 to play again.

Thanks.

I am having the same problem.  When I try to upload an audio file that plays fine on my computer to Dropbox, I get the message "An audio error occurred."  Since the entire reason I got Dropbox was to share this particular file, it's a problem. Any advice appreciated.

Mark I have found that the files will in fact play from my iPhone, just not from a desktop. I've asked friends to help verify this from their end.

Also I've found that the problem only occurs with my FLAC and ALAC files, not with MP3 I copy and try to play from the desktop here.

I've send trouble reports to Dropbox support but haven't heard anything back yet...

I also have audio error occurred.  How to fix it?

I have submitted this to DB support weeks ago. They haven't answered with anything but "we are still looking into it". They officially do not support FLAC in their player. Why I have no idea as it is now the most popular format for audio encoding worldwide. MP3 is left behind. Sure lots of MP3 exists, but no one creates them anymore and don't want to play them. They want better quality in lossless formats like FLAC (PC) and ALAC (Mac).

So DB doesn't support FLAC today. The ALAC files I have online with DB will play through other players like my iPhone, the Songbox iPhone app (which reads DB folders directly) and downloaded to my Win 10 PC notebook and played from there over any media player.

But DB's online player won't play them. It's their error and problem. They haven't fixed it. I can't play them directly from my same Win 10 notebook. They play any other way I try!

So is there a solution to why music files don't play and "audio error has occurred" message appears?
