View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
I installed Dropbox for one reason: to download and keep files there until I decide to remove them; however, Dropbox apparently seems to see its role in another way, and every time I've asked for an explanation, I'll get the same response: send a screenshot. That's when I give up in frustration.
Today, I've lost or misplaced an important file, and I have to try again, but I still see no need to send a screenshot. Anyway, here is what I expect from Dropbox:
1. When I download a file there, I expect it to remain there until I decide to remove it. THAT'S IT, BUT MAYBE MORE IS NEEDED.
(1) I don't want Dropbox to ask me if I really want to keep my file in Dropbox.
(2) I don't want Dropbox to remove that file without my permission.
Can you help me with this problem? I've had it for years, but Dropbox kept turning me away by asking for a screenshot.
Sincerely,
Warren Jones
