Unable to download files to my phone after adding them to the Dropbox folder on my computer
I have the DropBox on my PC through File Explorer and in the past I would copy MP4/MP3 files to the DropBox folder on my PC. I would then use the VLC app on my iPhone to download the files to my iPhone. Now when I click on the download icon in the VLC app it will no longer download the file. Is there a setting in DropBox that has changed? I now see there is a Vault, but I do not understand why the DropBox folder on my pc to be affected but this change. Curious if you have any suggestions. I have contacted VLC but they are pointing to DropBox as the issue. Kenn
I'm trying to delete and download my files from Dropbox, but I'm unable to do so.
I have deleted all my connections and I still get this message. What am I doing wrong? I just want to download everything and move to another service. I find dropbox far too complicated nowadays. I have been trying for weeks to get my stuff downloaded. I want to delete some files in dropbox to make it smaller first but it wont even allow me to delete files.
I need to download my files but getting an error that the files cannot be accessed
I am very disappointed with my Dropbox experience. Firstly, I had multiple files that the system could not access which to download which negated the entire purpose of having files stored on a cloud drive. What good is cloud storage if you cannot access the files when needed. I get error 0x80070780 far too many times. As a result, I just want to move on to another cloud storage company. Don't know what the issue is with Dropbox, but I do no have time to wait around for you to discover why certain files are inaccessible. I need to download every files from your server. How is this possible when I get the error saying that the file cannot be accessed, So, I am in a bind with defective cloud storage. I cannot accessthe files when needed and I cannot download all my data to facilitate a move to another cloud storage company that perhaps does not have these problems. I have 1.63 TB of data on your server that I need to download ASAP, like Yesterday. Please help me so that I can move on and not disquiet you anymore. Please help!
Can neither "copy to Dropbox" nor download folder from a shared link
I have an Essentials license with 3Tb unused space and 50Gb download limit I believe. Someone has shared a link with datasets in a Dropbox folder. Out of 200 or so folders, 13 I am unable to download saying The folder is too large to download. It won't Copy to Dropbox either. I press the button and there is simply no response. In the shared folder window, there are no options to select a number of folders. There is no way of me knowing how big the folders are. Its unbelievably poor functionality. What am I supposed to do? Don't really know what to do. Every time I try to download a big file from dropbox it fails after about 40 seconds (or sometimes a lot sooner). I've tried 4 different browsers. I'm on a Mac Studio running Ventura 13.7.2. The funniest thing is that I also can't download the dropbox desktop application, because that download fails too. I have no problem downloading using wetransfer, and I download large files from elsewhere all the time. Only dropbox gives me this problem. I've seen comments about this on here from 7 years ago, so I figure no one else is having this problem anymore. Is there a trick or a fix for this? Is there a good download manager program that can help? I tried a couple but they just download the dropbox webpage - not the actual files on the page. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
