Viewing PC backup on other computers

Viewing PC backup on other computers

Is there a way to include my PC Backup folder in the same Dropbox Folder that I use to access my online files on other computers? The last time I did a PC backup a couple of years ago I could see it in my Dropbox Folder on other devices, but I just deleted that old backup, then backed up a new computer and it’s not slowing up in the Dropbox Folder this time.  Also, I can’t access the Backup from the iPhone app, which is very annoying. Am I missing something in now to do this?

Hey @David81553, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

At the moment, the backup of one PC cannot sync to the Dropbox folder of another.

You can, however, access your backups from other computers, using the backups page on our website.

I hope this helps, but if you have other questions, let me know!

On my old computer my Dropbox files automatically backed up from Dropbox to my C Drive into a Dropbox folder under Users on the C drive. I have new computer, and this folder is not there. How do I set up this automatic backup system? Thanks you

Hey @MukiwaNigel, thanks for reaching out!

While you can't access your old computer's desktop files from the Dropbox folder of your new computer, if you'd like to set up automatic backup of your new computer's desktop folders, you can follow these steps.

And if you want to access the desktop files of the old computer from the new one, you can do so from your backups page online.

I hope this helps!
