Hi everybody. I am a Dropbox Plus user. Probably due a month i faced problems with video player after Dropbox update. First - video preview on a timeline disabled for now. Now video player dont start video without refreshing a page. Am i alone with that issue?

Hi @Igor80, thanks for posting.

 

Can you try using a different browser, or an incognito/private window on your current browser, and let me know how it goes?

Absolute the same - videos not playing, click on play and browser overloads. Any videos

Hey @Igor80 - sorry to hear this persists on other browsers too.

 

Could you clear your browser's cache as well and let us know how it goes?

 

If the issue persists, could you clarify if it's happening with all of your video files or just some or maybe only a specific one?

Thanks for supporting Walter. I cleared all caches/cookies and nothing helps. All video files not playing. In browser console i found a lot of errors like that:

 

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for - 502 error

 

a lot of errors "Could not load content for" XXX.map

DevTools failed to load source map: Could not load content for

 

GET- 415 error

 

Uncaught (in promise) connection_closed c_unity_features-vflUGnAVp.js:1

 

POST - 409 error

 

Error: Did not get a file ID from the Odyssey prefetch payload at 

 

also link to Vault folder becomes disabled, i only can access via link.

I tried also use VPN to check if it some blocks there by provider - absoltely the same

for now browser private mode is ok in fact of playing videos (maybe some browser plugins break dropbox js at normal mode), but:

- previews on a video timeline are disapeared since like a month ago

- Vault folder is not clickable, i can go there only from url /vault url (like 1-2 weeks)

I was cleared ALL of dropbox data and cookies and now videos are playing!

sorry for a flud, problem is exists, first time, first video after clearing cookies is good, then any another video - the same problem. It can starts ok, but when i trying to navigate to not buffered place/time - all the page is overloaded... I disabled all of browser plugins, i got a good licensed antivirus. It happens in another browsers too, Chrome, Edge

It's interesting that you can preview them when you visit the incognito tab on your browser @Igor80

 

It might sound a bit extreme, but if you're okay with this can you also try restoring one of your browsers to their default settings? 

 

Provided that the same thing happens, please send me a screenshot of the last screen you see when trying to play your video files.
