Playing Audio Files on Smart Speaker

I am trying to play audio files on a smart speaker...via my phone.
All other Apps play but not Dropbox.
Any ideas?

Hi there @Shinners  - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

 

Could you please let us know the exact steps you take to do this and also clarify your device's OS version for us?

 

If you're using the Dropbox mobile app as well, let us know its version as well.

Hi Walter.

Thanks for the reply.

I am using Dropbox version 348.2.4. on Android (V13).

Phone is connected to Bose 500 speaker. When I open audio file on Dropbox and play it does not play on speaker, only on the phone speaker. I tried then to open file with Media Player/Spotify/You Tube option from Dropbox, and does not work either.

Hey @Shinners, thanks for clarifying! 

 

Keep in mind that since the files preview fine on Dropbox's end, then this most likely has to do with the speaker itself, and its connections or settings. 

 

The best thing you can do is reach out to the company, and ask for more info.
