View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
I've been recording some videos and trying to transfer them to my second pc but whenever I download them on my second pc, it says "Failed Unknown Server Error. Please try again or contact the server administrator" Does anyone have any alternatives to transferring large files to my second pc or have a fix for this.
Hey there, @themagicdust, let's see what we can find on this together.
Do you try to download the content from our website or use the desktop app to sync it?
In addition, do you happen to know the size of the folder you're downloading?
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there.

I'm having the same problem. Someone emailed me a link to a folder in their DropBox. There are .mov files. When I click the link my browser (Safari, I'm on a Mac) opens a window and I can actually play the movies from there. However I've only been able to download one to my Mac which was the smallest 4 GB. The other two are larger 18 and 20 GB. I start the down load and all looks fine but after a few GB it gives me the same error.
