This problem does not occur on my mobile devices. I view my images on a Mac in full screen mode with a black background and up until a week or so ago I could advance to the next image and it would appear on the same black background. NO LONGER! Now the next image appears on a white background with additional picture data. This is unacceptable. I can no longer present my images like a slide show. I can’t believe I’m the only user who’s been troubled by this. I’ve submitted a help slip to Dropbox but so far I’ve only been sent rote suggestions regarding my computer settings, Dropbox version and the like, none of which help.

Hi @steve1480, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just for clarification, are you referring to viewing files in Finder, or on the Dropbox site itself?

A screencast of this process, while hiding any personal info, would help greatly.

This will help me to assist further!

Of course I’m only talking about viewing the images in Dropbox. Why would I complain here about viewing them in one of the Mac’s applications?
I view the images in Full Screen mode and they come up with a black background but when I advance to the next image I lose full screen mode and the new image comes up with a white background plus additional data and icons.
Just try it on your computer.
View it in full screen and then use the right, left, < and > keys on the keyboard to advance to the next image in the folder.
Do you not then lose the full screen view?
I do and this is a NEW problem.
I have been using the app for well over a year and this has not been occurring.
It has just started happening.
I’ve been able to scroll thru my images continuously without losing the full screen view with its black background all along - as long as I’ve been using the app.
Many of my images are so dark that they cannot even be viewed on a white background.
Do you still need screen images to understand?

Which browser are you using on your machine?

Are you accessing images from within a folder, or using the Photos tab?
