Re: I'm being told I don't have permission to download.

I'm being told I don't have permission to download.

I am participating in a group practice that I registered with through Eventbrite. The three-day course included downloadable material. The links were on the Eventbrite webpage, and they took me to Dropbox, where I can see and playback the material.  But despite being logged into my account, I kept getting an error code telling me I did not have permission to download.

The event coordinator does not know why that was, so I thought it might be on my end.

Does anyone know why this might happen?

Basically if you are being told you cannot download them there isnt anything you can do - its a setting they need to change 🙂

Sounds like they have been shared with download permissions turned off 🙂

The owner can alter this by following https://help.dropbox.com/share/set-link-permissions

I'll check with other participants, but I understand that the files are supposed to be downloadable.  I'll post back as soon as I know.

Thanks, Mark 🙏🏼

Thank you again, Mark, and yes, you're right!

I'm starting to hear back from the community of participants, and everyone is facing the same problem.

As you said, it's a setting issue on the host's side.  I will pass along the link you provided. 😁
