View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
Hi Team!
I should download one of my sizable Dropbox folders to a remote server. (The folder is too big to download locally, therefore, I have to work with the folder on a high-performance server instead).
"Reusing existing connection to www.dropbox.com:443.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 500 Internal Server Error
2020-04-16 10:15:11 ERROR 500: Internal Server Error."
I am turning to the team now to ask your suggestions for what is the most straightforward way to download a Dropbox folder to a remote server. Please give me a detailed answer since I am a bit inexperienced with Dropbox. Let me know if you need further information. I appreciate your help!
Hi @rbato, thanks for posting on the Community!
The dl=1 option only works for shared links, and not to folders when you’re logged into your account.
Depending on how your browser works, you might be able to select which directory you want to save the folder when selecting it.
Bear in mind that if the folder is greater than 20 GB, or has more than 10,000 files in it, the download will fail.
Hope this helps to clarify matters!
