Out of Space in Dropbox Basic
If I have become out of space in Basic Dropbox, can I permanently delete documents and gain more space without have to upgrade?

Deleted files dont use quota Dragonlbm , so, permanently deleting them will make no difference I'm afraid.

Deleting files DOESN'T reduce the amount of used space?

Hey captain-janeway, deleting files does free up space.
Permanently deleting them, though, doesn't free up any extra space, as files stop taking up space after they're simply deleted.

Can someone please advise on HOW to regain space on dropbox basic. I have almost run out, I have deleted all files and yet my account continues to announce that my space is full.
Thank you.

Then you still have something in your account. Check for shared folders you're a member of or backups that may be enabled.
