Hi all!
My iPhone is out of storage and so I’m currently trying to move my pictures into Dropbox. However, I’m getting messages saying my phone has no storage (and therefore, it would seem, can’t perform the operation).. Does that sound right? If so, I’m in a bit of a conundrum, because I can’t delete the photos to free storage on my phone until they’re on Dropbox! Grateful for any input. Thanks!

Hi @Nads83! Welcome to the Community.

That is true indeed I’m afraid; keep in mind that when uploading files from your device to Dropbox, a copy of the file is stored to the cache of the Dropbox mobile app temporarily. The Dropbox app uploads this copy from the cache, and deletes the cached copy of the file(s) after they've successfully uploaded to Dropbox.

To do this, the Dropbox app requires at least 500 MB of free space on the device.

Have you tried going to www.dropbox.com on your mobile browser instead and upload some of your files there, till you can make enough space on your device to use the mobile app?

Let me know if that works.
