Hi! I am Basic (2 Gb) customer. How can it be: "Using 8.69 GB of 2 GB space"?
I looked through my Dropbox current content and nowhere didn't find the option to show the real memory storage occupied by each my material.
I would like to delete some my items to remain within the legal memory limit of Free Plan. How can I do it?
Nancy! I am deeply touched with your attention to my issue, but believe me - I cannot upload any screenshot here. Trying it through the means provided fails through Firefox and Opera browsers. Please, provide some alternative means to send it here and we will be happy.
By the way... Maybe you have the possibility check my account as administrator - and find yourself what is wrong there.
Hello, I'm having a similar issue. I'm getting an error of 6gb out of 2gb. I had gotten a few bonuses over the years, but it seems there is some sort of bug. When I go to my plan, it says I have 6gb out of 6gb being used.

Provide a screenshot, please. It should look like this:

You have 5.9GB of data in shared folders which is filling your account to near capacity.
oh ok. Thank you. I was so confused of how to read that.
@Vitaaliy, let’s try one more thing together. To see what backup content takes up space in your account, try checking the 'Sync and Backups' tab in the Dropbox preferences, and disable the feature from there, assuming you're using the device it was enabled for.
Now, if you're having trouble locating the content online, let's switch to email so we can take a closer look into this.

Hello Rich,
the solution is simple:
When Dropbox was still small and unknown, you received 500Mb of storage space for each new user you brought to Dropbox via an invitation link.
Like Vitaly, I also had around 6GB of storage space, which has suddenly disappeared. Dropbox is now asking me to pay for the storage space that I have earned by inviting new users. Dropbox is also threatening to delete my data irrevocably.
That's a disgrace.
