I need to update my email address in my account because I no longer have access to the original email. If I update it in my account, will it send anything to the old email address? In other words, will I lose access to my account if I try to change the email address from an account I no longer have access to?
There is if you choose the options @Rich said - which is without being logged in and choosing the option for account help.
Note, however, I'd doubt you will get a reply as they will send it to the account you are talking about - one you dont have access to the email of.

You need to scroll down the page @Osbourne and choose one of the two options under the blue Chatbot option.

Do you happen to have any old devices, that might be linked to your Dropbox account? That way you can access them, and download your content.

Hi Megan.
I've been using Dropbox for many years. With the same email & password. There was no reason to change it & i stayed logged in in the nobile application for a long period. On 22/10/22 when i tried to log in on a desktop, where the password was also kept, Dropbox asked me to log in & then replied that the password or login is incorrect. This can not be true because i did not change my password & Dropbox never warned me that i should do that.
Another thing is that mail address that i use for logging here is not functioning properly for a coup;e of years also - this is a matter of business misunderstanding between qip.ru who is the owner of mail & yandex.ru who is the owner of servers. As a result of their relationship i cannot receive mail, but i can enter mailbox & even send.
Now, for the unknown reason, Dropbox logged me off & tells me that password is incorrect, so i have to receive mail to reset it, but there's no possibility to receive mail on the mailbox that i use for logging in Dropbox.
So, what i need, is that someone from Dropbox could send me the reset link to another mailbox, or change the email address for me in my Dropbox profile. Otherwise i am loosing my important files.
Appreciate your help.
Hi @Osbourne, I definitely see where you're coming from, and I want to help as much as possible.
Is there any chance that you have two Dropbox accounts? And that you're trying to access the wrong one?
Also, when was the last time you entered your Dropbox account, before it logged you out?

Hi Megan. Yes, now i've created a second account so i can write here. I used my Google access. But i am taking about my main account, which is [email removed as per Community Guidelines] And i need to restore access to that one. Before they logged me out i was using it on the 9th of october. I can send a message from [email removed as per Community Guidelines] mailbox as a proof that i own it, but i cannot receive mails.
