Hi there, I hope you can help.

Since a couple of days I have lost any access to the Dropbox Preferences. By which I mean the icons that give access to the location where the files are stored on the pc, the sync settings, etc.

Instead I only see a sort of sync status pop-up:

I closed down and restarted the pc. I deleted and reinstalled Dropbox. Nothing helped.

 

Any idea's what might be going wrong here, and how to fix it?

Gosh. I think I found a bug!

 

I suddenly recalled that recently on this pc I had problems with an application showing very tiny letters. So I enhanced all letters from 125% (default) to 150%.

Now I reduced the letters again from 150% to 125%, and Eureka! The Dropbox pop-up box is back in its entirety, including the access to the icons for managing preferences etc.!

 

Probably a tip for the Dropbox developers to take another look at the pop-up Dropbox box, and check how it behaves under different accessibility settings? Otherwise this could pose a great problem for those needing to enhance the font-size due to limited eye-sight.
