my dropbox account was not my regular email account

my dropbox account was not linked with my email account or we can say my dropbox account was not my regular account...as soon as i start dropbox ..i always had an option..that was- i have already a dropbox use..after clicking on it...i submit my normal account and password..that was not my email account...still it would start
