Prevent the Dropbox settings from being changed (OSX)

Prevent the Dropbox settings from being changed (OSX)

Is there a way to prevent the Dropbox settings from being changed via the icon in the taskbar? I would like a co-user of my OSX laptop to only have access to certain folders in my Dropbox. I have hidden all other folders in Dropbox in his user setup, but the settings can still be changed at any time via the taskbar icon. Can this be set via the user permissions in OSX?

Thank you for your advice,

Thomas

Hey there, @Thomas C. G., thanks for posting here!

We don't have a setting that would allow you to temporarily "hide" the Dropbox icon and therefore settings depending on the OSX on your device.

There might be some third-party apps that would allow you to do so, but I can't officially suggest a specific one.

In any case the thread will remain open, and I'd be happy if any of our Community members commented and shared their suggestions with you.

If you need anything else, give us a shout!
