Logging In with Email Address No Longer Valid

Logging In with Email Address No Longer Valid

I have several Dropbox accounts, and I'm trying to clean them up. One has an email address that is no longer valid, and it cannot be recreated. I have the password. It works. The problem is Dropbox sends the login confirmation code to the invalid email address. The online help I've read indicates that I should be able to log in, but I can't. Is there a way to log in?

Hi @patlaw

If its sending a secure code to the email unless you can get the email address active again there is no way to log in.

Thanks, Mark. That's very unfortunate and will certainly play into our decision whether to use Dropbox or a competitive product.

I have the problem above, and I have paid for extra storage under that account. As a temporary solution, I created a new trial account with my new email address. Now how do I link the 2 accounts (or just get my extra storage switched to my new account)?

You cant I'm afraid. There are no merging options available so you cannot move extra storage between accounts

All you can do is download the data from one and upload to the other OR do it via Shared Folders.
