Changing email address or phone number

Changing email address or phone number

How can you change an email to a different email. When you guys sent a code to the email you no longer can't login into any longer. Or if you want to change a phone number you no longer use or anything.

Hey there @Lloydtheman  - thanks for posting on our Community!

Can you please clarify if you're referring to the one time security code to access your account or the multi-factor authentication feature perhaps?

Also, where exactly would you like to be changing your email and/or phone number?

Any additional information on what you'd like to achieve or what's troubling you exactly would be more than welcome!

If the email on the account is not verified its very difficult and you are almost certainly better off just downloading everything and setting up a new one. If you accidentally get logged out there is often no way, at all, of regaining access: https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access

To change the 2factor code you need to turn it off and on again with the new details.

If you loose it you MUST use the secure codes given upon setting it up to disable. Without that the account is lost - it isn't possible to regain access.
