dropbox passwords not working on firefox
dropbox passwords not working on firefox
Hi everyone
Since some days Passwords does not work on Firefox (last version 115.0.3 (64 bits) on a MacPrp notebook).
It also seems to consume a lot of CPU.
If I deactivate the Passwords extensions, CPU stops overworking.
Apparently it works with Safari.
Is there a solution to have to work on Firefox?

Thank you for the question.
1) when I click on the button on the bar, nothing happens, instead of having a pop-up window with access to the passwords. (screen shot, i am not certain about the name of things on the screen in English).
2) Next, when I go to a website protected by a password, the Password pop-up window that fills the login/password combination does not appear. (in a normal Firefox window as well as in a private one). I understood that password was involved in the CPU overload and Firefox because of this.
If I activate a password website, CPU begins to work all the time with the ventilator fully blowing.
It is worse when in a private window.
If I deactivate the Passwords application, the computer comes back to normal.
Please ask if you need more detail. All the past week I have had this issue (I cant remember when it began exactly. But I believe it was after an update of Firefox ).
I am using a Macbook Pro with macOs 10.15.7 Catalina. Fiefox update is automatic with version 115.05.3. Dropbox Passwords is 3.15.0

Thanks for the additional info, rigas.
Would you mind clearing the cache in Firefox and restarting your computer, to see if that helps?
And can you also test if there are any other extensions that might be interfering with the Passwords one?
You can do that by disabling any other extensions you might have active and going to a website where you use Passwords, to see if it works.
