Using Dropbox to backup a site on WordPress.

I am looking to use drop box to back up our site on Word Press through updraft and could use some help and insight on how to do this. Has anyone done this?

That's not a function of Dropbox. UpdraftPlus appears to be a third-party service built using the Dropbox API. You would need to reach out to them for any assistance with the process.
