Trouble opening the Dropbox desktop app on new Mac Air

I'm way out of my depth here.  I've been a long time user of Drobox and have installed the desktop app previously but its not working this time.  I used the Migration Assistant to set up new Mac Air from MacPro.  I've found Dropbox in launchpad but there are no files.  I have tried to delete but I get a dialogue box saying its open and cannot be deleted.  I have tried installing a new one both through my account or from the Dropbox site but it progresses no further thn showing up in the tool bar and then disappearing beofre the new step.  I also think I may have logged in to the new app via google which I never use so I'm getting myself ina twist.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Cheers

Cathy

  • Hi Walter,
It turned out to be simple, of course!
I found the Dropbox icon on the top right hand side of my screen and logged out there. That then enabled me to delete Dropbox from Finder/ Applications and then reinstall and open with the correct log in.
    Cheers😀
