Error while connecting Dropbox To Tableau Prep Builder

Hi,

While connecting to Dropbox as data source in Tableau Prep, getting the following error.

Any suggestions why is this happening or any solutions for this.

Hi @Sparsh234, I hope you’re doing well!

 

I did a little bit of research, and I was able to locate an older thread about the same issue. Here’s what one of the users suggested: 

 

“Originally, I created a Tableau Desktop workbook which connects to each excel file in Dropbox from Tableau Desktop, set some data definitions there (specify data types, union conditions, automatic worksheet cleaning, data source filters), and then publish each data source live to Tableau Online. I needed to modify one of the data sources in Tableau Desktop and republish it to Tableau Online, a task I've done many times before. But when I tried, I received the same error you did ("This app is unable to link additional users because it has been frozen-pending review.”). Not only could I not re-connect to Dropbox from this workbook, but if I opened a brand new workbook and tried to connect to Dropbox, I continued to receive the error.

 

The IT folks who initiated the Dropbox account looked into it a bit and thought it was an issue on the Dropbox side, but were unsure what to do about it. I was about to suggest they contact Dropbox support, but on a hunch I tried connecting to Dropbox from an earlier version of Tableau Desktop, and it worked! I made the change to the data source needed and re-published it to Tableau Online.”

 

Give me a nudge though, if you need something else.
