I'm using both Dropbox and Google Drive for different folders on my Mac. If the finder extension for Google Drive is active, then then Dropbox finder extension fails and the cloud status icons on the Dropbox folders disappear. Likewise if the finder extension for New File Menu (a nice 3rd party Mac utility) is active then again the Dropbox finder extension fails to display cloud status. Ditto for Microsoft OneDrive.
I've tried to report this to Dropbox, but the response I get back is that I have to uninstall Goggle Drive and other finder extensions, which is not an option. Since Google Drive and OneDrive and New File Menu can all get along just fine, there is no inherent reason that Dropbox cannot as well if its extension were written properly. Has anyone found a way to either get Dropbox to pay attention to bug reports or to get around this particular one?
Hi @Edouardd, could you try navigating directly to the Dropbox folder and not via this alias (as it has a shortcut icon on the folder)?
Does the direct location of the Dropbox folder have the necessary context menus?

Hello @Jay:
I opened on the real folder, not using alias , as show below:
/Users/edouard/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox/@ documents/@ DIVERSOS
See, I used the full correct path. But I still do not have the context menus.
See below:
Hey @Edouardd, can you also give these steps a go, to see if they help?

Hello @Hannah :
Twice on this tread, I mentioned that DROPBOX do not show at all on FINDER EXTENSIONS. But show on ADDED EXTENSIONS. I sent print screens also.
So, I will do that on the ADDED EXTENSIONS. and let you know.
@Hannah :
I followed the procedure for both FINDER EXTENSIONS and ADDED EXTENSIONS.
It did not fix the problem.
Still not working.
==>. Dropbox cost much more money than any other competitor, and is the only giving me troubles.
Seriously, I am considering cancel my more than 10 years old subscription, because a problem like this, is not fixed with agility.
Thanks for the update here, Edouard.
Can we actually reach out to you via email, so we can look into this internally?

Hey @Edouardd, thanks for checking back with us!
Before we reach out to you, can you let us know if you've used the Dropbox app in the meantime, and if it has been updated to the latest version?
Are you still running the beta one and are facing the same issue?

Hi there,
I have just upgraded to a new Macbook laptop and am now facing the same issues - no sync icons and no dropbox options when i right click. I have also done the same processes suggested multiple times and deleted/reinstalled dropbox twice to no avail.
Can someone let me know if a solution has been found?
Hi @chris chris chris, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you let us know the Dropbox desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar at the moment?
If you happen to be running any 3rd party apps on the affected computer, have you tried closing them one by one to see if any of them is causing issues?
