My excel document when I close it and reopen it from drop box it reverts back to an old saved excel spread sheet and doesn't show my updated information?
I am still unable to open the dropbox app? Also, am I able to find my saved information?
In that case, could you try reinstalling the app using the offline installer from this page directly @jfreed ?
Also, when you say 'saved information' are you referring to the files you've stored in Dropbox or something else?

If you don't see anything in the file's version history, I'm afraid your edits didn't make it to our servers, but perhaps it's been cached by the app you were using at that time, namely Microsoft Excel.
In any case, let us know of any updates @jfreed

Honestly, I am pretty new with dropbox and I need to understand. So my coworkers and I share a file in the file folder under "company same dropbox" then a "company name shared file" where my excel file is saved to, what I don't understand is how my updates are not being saved into dropbox? What am I doing wrong?
Hey @jfreed, sorry to jump in here, and welcome to Dropbox!
Let me see if I can help with any confusion on how things work with the Dropbox app syncing-wise.
So, when you install the Dropbox desktop app on your computer, Dropbox will create a folder named "Dropbox" (in your case "company name Dropbox" as I assume you're a member of a Dropbox Business team) and will sync all the files in your account to that folder.
From there, you should be able to access your Dropbox files, open/edit/delete them and all your changes should sync to your account online.
If you're working on this Excel file from your Dropbox folder, that's how things should work, as long as the Dropbox application works correctly.
Do you see a small Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar? What do you see when you hover over it with your mouse?

Yes, but the drop-box icon only shows when I open the internet drop-box but if i close the window it goes away.
You mean that the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar only appears when you're logged in to your account on dropbox.com? That's strange indeed.
When it does appear, what do you see when you hover over it?
