Can't attach files to emails in iOS
Hi,
I cannot seem to attach a file from my Dropbox into my email using gmail.
When I click on the attachment icon it does not give me the the file source of Dropbox, Just my ipad and Cloud are my choices.
I am using an iPad and do a lot of emailing from it.
- Hey Steph! Is the Dropbox folder appearing in the Files app on your device? I’m assuming that you have installed our mobile app? What version of iOS are you running? Are you able to export files from your Dropbox app into the mail app? Is this the iOS Mail app, or the official Gmail app? Thanks in advance!

Hi Jay,
yes, I have the Dropbox app installed. In the email, when I want to add a file stored in Dropbox as an attachment, the Dropbox opens and shows all the folders and files. However, when I choose a file by touching it, it doesn’t get attached in the email. The iOS version being used by me is 12.0.1.
Thanks for your time.

Yes, the Dropbox and the folders along with files appear. But when I touch the file it doesn’t get loaded in the email. The iOS version used by me is 12.0.1.
OS version which I am using is 12.0.1.

Where in this response is the solution? It's just questions but this submission is linked as the solution. I'm having the exact same issue. Can't upload dropbox files to send in an email from my iphone, all it does is create a dropbox link when in reality I want the file sent over not a link.

Make sure you have the Dropbox app installed on the iOS device and that your account is registered through the mobile dropbox app. If you already have done that make sure the app isn't being blocked from any permissions in the settings.
