The Dropbox App file display / editor is a welcome tool on mobile devices. However, it displays text files (.txt) in a proportional font. If you are only going to show one font it should be monospace...

Text in a txt file (on iphone) is not lining out properly.
In the past, it used to line out just perfectly (like monospaced COURIER lettertype)
Is it possible to have it lined out again?

Hi chrisberkvens - welcome to our Community!
Can you please send me a screenshot of how this looks like on your end? Does this happen for all of your files of the same type?
While at it, can you make sure that you're running the most updated version of your mobile's OS and our app's as well?
Last but not least, please try clearing the cache on your app and then sign out and back into your Dropbox account following these steps:
1. Navigate to the “Personal” tab
2. Tap the gear icon in the upper-left corner of the screen
3. Select “Clear Cache”
Once this is done then please make sure you log out of the Dropbox application, then restart your device and log back in again.
Keep me posted on your findings Chris!

Hi Walter,
Thank you for your quick response.
I use version 172.4.4 on my iPhone, it’s the most recent.
I cleared the cache but it stays the same.
All the txt files in my dropbox have the same proportional spacing.I think it is just a choice that Dropbox made on how txt files are shown.
I use dropbox some 5 years now for displaying simple txt files that are updated every 15 minutes.Drobox has had several changes in time on how they display txt files.
3 years ago f.i., there was even a short time (few months) where repeated spaces were shown as just one space. It would be handy if one could choose between monospaced letter type’s and proportional letter type’s. (as a setting)
Kind regards,
