Disable "Suggested from your activity" permanently
Hi there,
I absolutely hate the feature "Suggested from your activity". I would like to see a checkbox in settings that allows a user to disable that permanently and have the cleanest possible view of file(lists) and folders.
The "Suggested from your activity" feature always shows my family photos or, like today, a preview of my tax form. Whenever I open dropbox in the office to browse my files, all my work colleges can see these previews too. The icon that hides it, is only remembering the setting as long as one does not delete cookies from the browser. At our company, it is policy to delete cookies every day at the end of the day. So this "hiding" setting is pretty useless for me.
More over, please make it possible to have a clean, minimalistic UI without all the fluff, super big blue buttons and "easy access" helpers. Some people don't need it. It is distracting and disturbing.

I got on the forum precisely to post about this. This feature is not helpful or needed at all. More than that, it is an unwanted privacy breach for me because I don't want my family photos to pop up when I'm sharing my screen or someone walks past my desk. I store my photos here because it's supposed to be a place where my files are safe, so I don't understand why I can't turn this feature off.

Love this idea, it is a giant waste of space

I'm in agreeance that this is unnecessary clutter that lessens the experience of using Dropbox, both in the app and on the desktop site. Having to shut it off each time is unnecessary.

YES !! Please please dropbox team, delete this option or give us a way to permanently disable this useless and annoying feature. It does expose very personal documents to people who might share a computer or are with us when we are opening dropbox. Also, the fact itself that we use Dropbox suggests that we are organized people who know where the folders are and we can access them ourselves without help.

It's becoming clearer every day that the developers at Dropbox do NOT use dropbox on a day to day basis. Every update makes it less and less user friendly, especially the user interface which in the past 2 years has gotten increasingly harder to use and focus has shifted to weird features instead of the actual files.

Please give the option to remove the "Suggested from your Activity" showing any files I have looked at in the past. I do not want nudes popping up when I am doing work which could be around other people.
You boast about adding great features, why would you not allow us to disable a feature that is detrimental to our work and life!!
How does it benefit you to have this option. It surely doesn't benefit us if we don't want it.
It makes me want to not open and use DropBox as much as I would.
Please make this option a choice from your paying customers.

I really don't understand why you would add a feature like this without asking and without providing an easy way to completely and permanently disable it. I'm totally happy with Dropbox's basic features - if someone else wants something else, that's fine, but they make Dropbox less usable and useful for me, and I completely understand the aspects other people have mentioned in these comments.

Very few times "suggested from your activity" becomes useful. So, being optional is a good idea.

It's really bad, will probably migrate away from Dropbox if this stays. At least we need the option to disable this permanently. For now I'll disable Dropbox auto-start and look for another option.
