Looks like a tool to comment/collaborate on video, which is great.
Why then, is it under the general "Share" dropdown when any file open, AND labeled as "Send for review"?  I hit this on a PDF, expecting a tool for a recipient to "approve" a PDF doc, and I was sent to replay.  Not the correct UX, IMHO.

"replay" should only show up as an option in video files.

Hi @klagreca, thanks for reaching out! You are correct that Replay is a collaboration and approval tool for creative projects, allowing users to fast-track approval and collect feedback on their media files in one place. However, it is not solely focused on videos; Replay is compatible with video, image, audio, PSD, and PDF projects.

When you click "Send for review," we aim to provide the best possible solution for gathering feedback on your file, which is the core purpose of Replay. By sharing the "share" link of your PDF uploaded to Replay, you can track comments and collaborate with anyone, even if they don't have a Dropbox account.

To help us improve the UX, could you elaborate on what you were expecting to happen when you clicked "Send for review"? Thank you so much!

Hi Megane, thanks the reply and explanation! I think Replay *can* be a collaboration tool for everything, but as of right now, it's really only designed for video.

Here's a very basic test case on how it doesn't work for other formats:  Try to leave a pointed (a highlighted area or box, or in some way connect a comment to a particular point on the canvas) comment on a PDF.  This test case fails.

Replay has great potential though! Looking forward to continued progress,

That's all on point! You will most likely be able to have pinpoint commenting on PDF by the end of the year. We'll let you know when that's out!

As someone who uses Replay only for video, I had actually forgotten it was intended for any file type.

As of today, I see annotation tools like pen, line, colour picker, and an icon to post my drawing as a comment. These seems to work well, so if you don't have these yet I expect you will soon. DB does roll out new features to batches of users to test things.

All the best.
