How to ensure no use of API v1?

I am working on updating a macOS app to migrate from API v1 to API v2, ahead of the upcoming deadline. I'd like to ensure that the app does not, in any way, still contact v1 endpoints (that is, any endpoints that are going to be shut down soon). Is there an easy way to do this?

I was hoping that the Dropbox App Console would make it possible to select a setting where a given app would no longer allow the v1 endpoints, effectively simulating the shutdown which is going to occur for real, and for all apps, soon. I could not find any such setting.

(Note: I am not using the official API v2 SDK.)

If you're not using an official SDK, the easiest way to check what version of the API you're calling is to check the URLs you're calling. API v1 endpoints contain "/1/", while API v2 endpoints contain "/2/".

(Note that some OAuth URLs also contain "/1/" for historical reasons, but those aren't considered part of API v1 itself.)

Based on your answer, I take it that the OAuth URLs which contain "/1/" will NOT be shut down... please correct me if I have misunderstood this.

Yes, that's correct, for OAuth 2 at least. (API v2 doesn't support OAuth 1 so I expect it will make sense to shut down the OAuth 1 endpoints along with API v1 itself.)
