API V2 unable to list folder using file id
I would like to be able to list the contents of a folder using the file id instead of the path.
Is this in the works?
Thanks!

Great, thanks!

I don't mean to criticize, but it sounds like this glaring inconsistency is being treated as a feature request of a lowest priority (apparently)? Sure, an ID can always be resolved into full path using a get_metadata call, but why making the extra trip and sacrifice performance?

I believe this is planned, but I can't offer a timeline right now. I'll be sure to pass this along as a feature request though.

Unfortunately, no, no update on this right now.

An ETA would be nice, please?

Thanks for the feedback Vladimir! I don't have a timeline to offer right now unfortunately.
- Greg-DBDropbox StaffThe Dropbox API now supports file IDs for list_folder:

If you're using an official SDK, there will also be a corresponding method for this endpoint.
