Hello folks!

Early this morning (6-22-2024) updates were made to Dropbox. We were sent an email beforehand notifying this. Now we have files moved from our Desktops, and we are not able to move them back. Is there a way to revert what Dropbox did? It will not allow us to move the folders back manually. We are both admins. We have tried making new folders and it tells us we need an admin's permission. Halp!!!

Hey there, @JLarson75, thanks for posting here!

Would you mind sending me a screenshot of the exact email you're referring to, in order for me to have a clear visual of the change you're talking about?

Also, is Backup enabled for your account at the moment?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hey @JLarson75. Thanks for the screenshot and sorry to jump in.

When saying there were files moved from your Desktop that you can’t move back, are you referring to files that were located within the backed up Desktop folder of your computer?

If yes, what do you see when trying to move them back to their original place?

If that’s not the case, can you provide more details on what’s happening exactly?

Feel free to send us more screenshots, as well.
