I want to Opt out of Image Search

We have serious privacy concerns regarding the "image search" feature in Dropbox.

For example, if we type "cat" into the search bar we get photos of cats. Like many dropbox business accounts, ours stores sensitive image data belonging to our clients. We do not want these images classified by content and we do not want to have the capability to search images by identified objects or OCR text. We would like the option to disable this feature and remove the classification data permanently.

Hi @calsav1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to opt-out of the image search feature.

Please note that your files are as safe as they always have been; image search hasn’t changed anything with regards to how content in your Dropbox account is stored.

Please let me know if you have any further feedback or questions related to image search, or if there is anything else I can help you with.
