I accidentally deleted my file and it's not in my deleted items folder

I accidentally deleted the wrong file this morning and I really need it back, because it had important comments on it. It's not in my recently deleted items folder, even though I did not select to permanently delete it. When I went to go see what I was prompted with, all it said was "Delete from this folder." I've never had any trouble recovering a file, so I have no clue where this one went.

Hey @julia3579, I just tested it on my end, and the comments I made on a file, were back, when I restored it, so you should be good to go.

Hey @julia3579 - sorry to hear about your missing file.

Could you have a look at your events page and let me know if you can find any signs of it?

Also, were you the owner of the file or was it a shared one perhaps?

Let us know more and we'll take it from there, Julia.

Hi Walter,

I was able to find the file on the events page; thank you for providing me with the link because I was having trouble finding it. Does it fully restore everything, including comments? I think there may have been comments on the pdf file, but if there were, they weren't restored (not sure if it was the right version).

You can do it yourself via https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/recover-deleted-files-folders as long as it was deleted within 30 days (assuming you are a free user).
