Getting "Error: 0X80070780 File cannot be opened" when deleting files on my computer

I thought I'd found the solution in the community until discovered that Dropbox is not in my system and I can't uninstall it.  I was running out of space on my notebook and needed to rationalise, so used DB online on my notebook instead.  Now all the files are out of date I need to delete them from the notebook, leaving them intact on my desktops and online but Delete shows the error and I can't untinstall.  Any ideas please?

Can you please clarify what you'd like to accomplish and at what point you're getting this error exactly?

 

If you could also send us a screenshot, I'd appreciate it.
