I tried replying to other posts on this matter but for some reason I was not allowed so I created this new post.
My DropBox says it is full however I deleted lots of files/folders. The status bar briefly showed that I had deleted large quantities of data and I was in great shape however shortly there after it said it was full again. I have one shared empty folder that I am using to setup file sharing and that is it.
Well I am a dumb A%& I totally missed the gigabyte vs terabyte drive limits my bad my expectations were way out of line.

The bar says I am full however there is very little data in the dropBox. Yesterday I deleted 100's of gigabytes of data and the plan page bar dropped down to only about 10% full which was great however just a few minutes later it popped back up to full even though I did NOT add any data.
Hey @Rayborne!
Is it possible that you added a shared folder to your Dropbox, since that would also count against your account's storage?

I have two folders, one with data in it where I deleted lots from yesterday and one empty one that I created right after I deleted all the data yesterday.
The thing to remember here is that it is not the quantity of files which is important it is the size. You could delete 100,000 files at 1kb each and make very little difference yet 1 file of 2gb would clear the space.

The only data in my DropBox is the 235GB I copied from a portable hard drive. Somehow this drive is synced to my DropBox and I have been unable break the sync which is something else I'd like to do!
