Can't find the version of a file I'm looking for in its version history

Can't find the version of a file I'm looking for in its version history

I uploaded multiples images to a folder over 6 months ago and watermarked them all.

I have now gone to access the original files to delete the watermark but it only gives me 2 versions of watermarked images and the original file has disappeared. Is there any way AT ALL to retrieve the original file that I uploaded? I have already tried rewinding the folder and also upgraded to Business Plus and the original file is still not there. Absolutely gutted if I can't retrieve the original file without the watermark !!

Hey @jassansom, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

May I ask what plan you were on before you upgraded? When did you add the watermark to the files in the first place?

Any additional information you can share is more than welcome!

Hi Walter,

Thanks for your response.

I am unsure as to which plan I was on when I uploaded the images.

They were uploaded in March 2023 and watermarked in July 2023. I am able to access the July 2023 version but not the March..

I have spoken to someone on the Dropbox online chat and he has informed me that there is absolutely

no way I can retrieve these files, which is extremely disappointing.

I was completely unaware that my original files would expire after an extended period of time!

You should develop a feature to remind people that their time is about to expire so they can retrieve their

images/documents before its too late. Very upset 😞
