LABELS 1.pngLABELS 2.png

Dear Dropbox community,

I am facing an issue with my Dropbox Business desktop app, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar. Not everyone in my team is able to change or view the details of files or photos in the desktop app, even though we all have business accounts.

I was hoping someone in the community might have some insight into what could be causing this issue and what steps I could take to ensure that everyone in my team is able to make changes to these details.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions or advice you can offer.

Best regards,

Titania

Hi @Titania, from the second image, the files appear to be online-only, as they have a cloud icon on them.

If you mark a files as 'available offline', are you then able to add a label to it?

Thanks for posting on our Community, @Titania!

Have you tried to edit the labels of a file that’s located outside of Dropbox on your computer? Does the same thing happen?

Besides that, I’d like you to quit the Dropbox app as a test, and attempt to edit your labels once more. Do you see any difference if you do this?

Let me know how this goes.

Hi Nancy,

Thank you for reaching out. To answer your question, we can edit labels outside of the Dropbox app. The issue only occurs within the app itself. I have tried editing labels of files located outside of Dropbox on my computer and did not encounter any problems.

I have also quit the Dropbox app and attempted to edit the labels again. Unfortunately, the issue persists and I still cannot edit the labels within the app.

Kind regards,

Titania

Hi Jay, thank you for your help. Indeed, it works offline. Thanks! We will try it that way.
