I accidentally shared a document with sensitive information to a company using DropBox. Is it possible to ask DropBox to remove the file?

Thanks for your help!

My apologies @dustinrwh

I thought you were talking about a shared link, but checking again it seems it was a File Request. In this case, I'm afraid there's nothing that we can do, in order to remove the content you've submitted.

Hi @dustinrwh, welcome to our Community!

How exactly did you share the document with the company? Let me know more, and I'll be more than happy to guide you and let you know more.

Thanks a bunch!

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi @dustinrwh, you should be able to delete the link following these steps.

However, keep in mind that this would simply break the connection. If they managed to download the link's contents, they would still have access to it.

Got it. That’s what I was wondering. I’ve asked the company I submitted to to remove the file so I’ll wait to hear back (and pray nothing bad comes of it). Thank you!
