Hi All
I am aware that you cannot set an expiration date on link unless you have Essentials and beyond. However on Plus when sending a link at which point does it expire? I am seeing conflicting information - some people say the link never expires as long as the files are there, however on some of the forum responses people have said it expires after 7 days, and some people have said 30 days.
Can anyone please confirm 100% what the answer is?

A link will remain valid until you remove it, or until the file has been deleted.

Is this the same for the Free account?

Yes, provided that the account remains active and you're not over your storage quota. If the account goes idle for more than a year, the entire account is deleted, and if you're over quota for an extended period, Dropbox may start deleting files to bring you back below quota.
