Hi Sanchez:
Well, what I ended up doing was to drag the file I wanted to upload over to the upload button and dropping the file there....That started the upload....
I now have another question for you.. I now want to delete a file using the Dropbox website. I login to my account, but I am unable to figure out how to delete. Some of the instructions I found on the Internet say to click on he icon next to the file name...I don't have this...Can you possibly help me with this problem?

Thank you, Daphne. I received no error messages. Just nothing. Funny thing but when I tried in Chrome, it worked. I was in Safari. Why would this be?

I had the same problem with Safari, which started only a few days after a Safari update from Apple. Like you, I was also able to use the upload button successfully using Chrome.
After a little more research, I discovered Safari had non-functional upload buttons at other websites: In my Gmail account, if I clicked on the paperclip icon to attach a file, nothing happened. Same as with Dropbox, it should have opened a folder that I could navigate to find the file I wanted to upload, but nothing happened at all. Same thing with my other email account at AOL.com.
I'm thinking it's a possible bug in the latest Safari update. I was on the phone for 2-1/2 hours with Apple support yesterday trying to troubleshoot, and could not find a fix. We sent in a system diagnostic report that the Apple engineers will look at, and I have a callback scheduled for today.
You should be able to find my postings if you follow Mark Siegel
One thing I'd like to suggest: Call Apple Support and report the problem. Tell them you know of others who are experiencing it. Maybe that will help Apple realize they have a bug in Safari, and hopefully convince them to fix it.
