Received shared link is giving me an error 'something went wrong'

I received a link to a dropbox folder from a potential employer and when I click the link, it required me to create an account, which I did.  Then I get an error page with a bulldog on it telling me something went wrong (but not what) and if it's a fluke, refresh the page.  No matter what I do, I cannot get access to the link I received.  To get technical help, Dropbox wants me to spend money on a program that my potential new employer may already pay for so....

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi there @Valerie607 - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please clarify if your employer is part of a team account or if they have an individual one?

Was the shared link shared with you with edit rights or view-only?

Have you by any chance tried clearing your browser's cache or using another browser to see how it goes?

Let me know of any updates!

I can only assume he has a business/team account but I only have a personal account.  I would have had edit rights as he wanted me to create something within it.  I have tried clearing cache and have also tried separate browser as well as separate window in same browser.

If you're still getting the same error, you can ask the employer to check if the file or folder the link points to has been deleted or share a new link with you @Valerie607

Keep me posted!
