One user can't update files in a shared folder, why?

I have a folder that I’ve shared with 16 persons. All of them have edit permission and all can read. BUT one of the members cannot update the file. I can see that he accesses the file and it is stated that he has updated the file but his result is not saved. What can be the problem?

We are using Dropbox on Windows, desktop.

Hi @LAA-24, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just to be 100% certain, are they attempting to edit the file on the Dropbox site directly, via the mobile app or the desktop machine?

This will help me to assist further!
