I am having difficulty with text disappearing from the final page of my documents over time. I have a pdf, using a text box I create text at the top of each page, save the file and verify that it saved correctly. Later, when accessing the document, I find that the text has disappeared from the final page. Any clue as to why this might be happening?
Hi @Auntie Di, welcome to our Community!
Do you use our desktop app or website when editing your content?
Also, when did this start happening, and is it taking place with all of your .pdf files or just some of them?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

We use the website not the app. You made me think though - sometimes we upload a document that we have scanned and edited with PDF2GO and sometimes we upload a document to Dropbox and then use Dropbox to edit the pdf.
Basically, we are adding "Controlled Copy" to the top of every page. Most frequently we will scan the document to pdf, use PDF2GO to add "Controlled Copy", print our document and then upload the edited pdf to Dropbox.
We have been closing the document on Dropbox then opening it again to verify that that "Controlled Copy" appears on every page. Then time will pass and we will download the document from Dropbox and for some reason "Controlled Copy" no longer appears on the final page (or very occasionally a middle page). It is problematic for us because in an audit we have been asked to show our shared documents to be verified as "Controlled Copy" and the last page it is missing. Twice we have examined every page of every document but still they disappear.
Today, I uploaded the pdf to Dropbox and edited within the Dropbox website - I will need to check it again in a few weeks to see if it has disappeared or if that only happens to pdf's edited prior to upload.
What do you think?
Thank you,
Dianna
Hey @Auntie Di, thanks for the added info!
Is it possible that this is a browser-specific issue, since you're using our website to edit your content?
If you check your events page, and version history of the file do you see the changes there?

I can access the Events Page and events are only showing me Added or Deleted. If I open the document from the Events page it is showing "Controlled Copy" correctly on every page.
I would say that the majority of our uploads are edited prior to being uploaded to Dropbox. Most often we add the text box prior to uploading. With the last document I made sure that I uploaded the pdf then added the text with Dropbox but many, many others I have edited prior to uploading. We utilize Microsoft Edge.
What is making this difficult to answer is that the "Controlled Copy" on the last page "holds" for a while then one day it is just gone. Recently I went through every document for a second time and added "Controlled Copy" to every page where it had disappeared. Now I am waiting to see when they will disappear again.
Are these documents shared @Auntie Di?
Is it possible that someone accidentally removed the changes you made?
